This post follows the theme of: Are Words Reality? And is Humanity Truly Awake? In exploring the nature of perception, for biologically conceived human beings, and our relationship with reality. In the historical context of the story of Jesus of Nazareth, and what the story "cryptically" conveys about Creation, God, & Reality. As I ask you to consider whether the world famous cross of crucifixion, is actually a symbol of a balanced human consciousness? A needed balance, cryptically conveyed in one of Jesus' famous sayings: "You shall know the truth and the truth shall make free?"
If we contemplate the possibility that this famous story, is subconsciously motivated by the subconsciously motivated beings, that we all are? That the story is most likely about our species oldest and most universal fear, the darkness of night? And the truth of the darkness within us all, as our conscious unawareness of our own reality, and the earth-turning reality of our existence in time? That the whole Christian Bible, is about the truth of the darkness within us? And our species perennial need to balance our human experience of consciousness?
Is the Jesus' story about the truth of our inborn fear, ignorance, & suspicion? Like the sophisticated form of suspicion we call rationality? A story that cryptically alludes our species development of language, and what it did to our relationship with reality? Suggesting that the truth that shall make you free, is about the way reality-labeling words both describe & disguise the true nature of reality? A story with paradoxical, "riddle-me-this" word formulations like: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God," (John 1:1). And rather than answers to universal questions about the purpose of human life, was this opening line, meant as a question about the deceiving power of the Word?
I mean, why do we read this concise statement about the reason for Jesus' teachings: "Therefore speak I to them in parables, because seeing, they see not, and hearing, they hear not, neither do they understand," in (Matthew 13:13)? Is this a cryptic wisdom saying about the perceptual paradox of human languages? I mean, why are there 7000+ languages in our world today, with thousands of different sounds & symbols for describing the sun? Is there only one sun, one earth, and one moon, that all human beings see, regardless of place or race? And is this simple truth related to the historical nature of Jesus' wisdom teachings?
Was the world famous pro-love and anti-ignorance teacher, a senior member of the Essene community and a graduate of an ancient mystery school? Why are there 18 missing years in the biblical New Testament story of Jesus' life and death? And is it possible to understand, through personal experience, the simple truth of how all human beings, "seeing, see not?" I mean, are we all undeniably self-ignorant and unaware of the darkness within, despite our awareness of words and numbers? And does the universal paradox of language & well-being, lie at the heart of this famous story's insistence that a revealing end, will one day come?
Only the paradox comes anywhere near to comprehending the fullness of life. Carl Jung
If you click on the Carl Jung link you will see Brené Brown's interpretation of the meaning of Carl Jung's words, that she wrote in her book: Braving The Wilderness. In which we read
: "When we are willing to risk venturing into the wilderness, and even becoming our own wilderness, we feel the deepest connection to our true self and to what matters the most." And could we compare these words with the perennial nature of Jesus' famous "Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you," (Luke 17:21).
Is the whole story of Jesus' about creation, god, and resurrected truth? The simple truth that no human being can explain "how" we think, talk, & walk? As our species continues its historical journey towards being truly awake, as explored in the post: Are Words Reality? And is Humanity Truly Awake? Was the whole point of the story of Jesus' conception, life, death, resurrection, & ascension, about the truth of our species peculiar form of blindness?
Was that the point of three numbered verses in the New Testament's 4th gospel book of John? And a famous historical question for our species; "what is truth?" And the meaning of: "This Good News of the Kingdom will be preached in the whole world for a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come," (Matthew 24:14).
Please consider the possibility of a "riddle-me-this" intention, to the writing of these words in the good news gospel of John:
"Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done? Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all," (John 18:35-38).

"Pontius Pilate asked "What is truth?" in John 18:38 during the trial of Jesus. This famous moment captures political cynicism, philosophical skepticism, and the irony of standing face-to-face with Jesus, who claimed to testify to the truth." A Google AI Overview
