Jesus' Spiritual Rebirth Method? Within the Lord's Prayer?

"You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free," (John 8:32)

This post continues the theme of: Jesus' Experiential Knowledge Methods & Teachings? And my simple truth about language that frees me from perceptual confusion, as promised in Jesus' historical prophecy: "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come," (Matthew 24:14). And following the previous post's confession that: "for decades now, I have felt that Jesus' words; "Our Father which art in heaven" and "I and the Father are one," simply signify the reality of the Sun. And that Jesus was not actually a supernatural being, but arguably the most brilliant philosopher of mind, in human history."

This post explains how I personally experience the spiritual rebirth method within the Lord's prayer. As one of the "riddle-me-this" simple truth versions of Jesus' experiential knowledge methods & teachings. And how I experience an embodied sense of the notion that Jesus was a brilliant natural philosopher, trained in the ancient mystery school art of gaining experiential knowledge?

As I try to convey the possibility that you too, can experience the "reality-reorienting" spiritual rebirth intention within the Lord's prayer. And come to know the simple truth that shall make you free, to paraphrase Jesus. Not freed from the behavioral nature of human immorality, that religiously minded people tend to believe i

s the obvious reason for Jesus' Sermon on the mount.

But free from the misconceptions of reality inherent in language, if you practice "thinking" the words below while feeling the warmth of the Sun, with your body. Will you come to feel the freedom from perceptual confusion, intention of Jesus' teaching of the Lord's prayer? Please consider with your intellect and body-wise contemplation, the "psycho-spiritual-rebirth" intention of these particular words:

"Our Father which art in heaven," (Luke 11:2-4).

By asking yourself whether the Lord's prayer, within the Sermon on the Mount? Was truly meant to be read as an answer supernatural reality and the problem of human immorality? As a sermon about a supernatural realm of reality called heaven, that we will experience after we die? Or was Jesus' outdoors sermon about perceiving the "here-now" reality of heaven?

As you watch this video and contemplate the possibility of experiencing the kind of  "psycho-spiritual-rebirth," that can free you from the perceptual-confusion, inherent in human languages, regardless of place or race? Please imagine yourself being in this place and feeling the warmth of the Sun, as you wonder about the "reality-wise" meaning of: "Our Father which art in heaven?"

This video is no substitute for your lived-experience of practicing the kind of "spiritual-self-diagnosis" that Jesus' most likely taught. Even though his clearly stated reason for teaching people with parables, involves an undeniable truth about the reality of human languages you can self-diagnose. No matter where you are or whatever you see and hear? While my reason for inserting this video and suggesting that there is a "specific" spiritual rebirth method within the Lord's prayer, involves the reality of the Sun.

And asking you to contemplate the simple-truth that the reality of the Sun; is not a Word? By feeling the reality of the Sun's warmth, with your Body? And wondering whether you are feeling the simple truth of the words "Our Father which art in heaven?

Which is what I mean, when I say: "the "reality-reorienting" spiritual rebirth intention of the Lord's prayer." And what I mean when I say: "experiencing the kind of  "psycho-spiritual-rebirth," that can free you from the perceptual-confusion, inherent in human languages, regardless of place or race?

And what the aim of this blog is, when you read the words: "How adaptive realizations change our sense of reality." And why I'm trying to provide people with some useful food for thought and body-wise contemplation, about the historical purpose of the Jesus' story.

Like the kind of information that provides reason for faith in Jesus' spiritual diagnosis of humanity? Within the words: "This is why I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. Indeed, in their case the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled that says: 'You will indeed hear but never understand, and you will indeed see but never perceive,'" (Matthew 13:14). And faith in a psycho-spiritual-rebirth method, hiding within the Lord's prayer?

"Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come.

Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.

Give us day by day our daily bread.

And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us.

And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil," (Luke 11:2-4).

Especially now we have large language model AI's to help us discern the relative nature of truth and falsehood? So that you could if you wish, you could take a psychological-deconstruction approach to this idea of experiencing a psycho-spiritual-rebirth. And decide for yourself what Jesus' Sermon on the Mount was about, and what the good news that all human beings can understand and have faith in, actually is?

For example, my own understanding of the reason Jesus' taught the people of his day in parables, is because of the universal problem with how language makes all human beings feel like we are more conscious of reality, than we actually are. Hence I try to follow Jesus' example and practice spiritual self-diagnosis on myself, by "feeling" the reality of why the root meaning of the words spirit, spiritual, & spirituality, is; Breath!

As I felt the reality of the warmth of the Sun with my body, & thought the words "Our Father which art in heaven," within my mind. And asked myself "will describing the Sun with any word I care to imagine, change the reality of the Sun?" As I try to fathom the true reason for Jesus' experiential knowledge teachings, and articulate why I believe he was the greatest philosopher of mind, in human history. Who I believe, understood that the course of human history will deliver us from our own evil. Please consider:

The Banality of Evil: In the Very Nature of Belief?

I typed this subheading title to continue this post's theme of spiritual self-diagnosis and psycho-spiritual-rebirth, through a conscious realization about the "reified-reality" nature of human languages. And in the "context" of how I personally use large language model AI's to help me to discern likely truths and falsehoods, about the history of experiential wisdom in our world.

And I am using Hannah Arendt's famous phrase, "the banality of evil" in the lived-experience context of Jesus' phrase; "but deliver us from evil." The banality of evil I feel is inherent within the "reified-reality" nature of language & therefore belief. Please consider:

(The reified-reality nature of language is the human tendency to treat abstract words and linguistic rules as if they were solid, physical things existing independently in the real world. We turn fluid ideas into fixed objects, forgetting that language is just a social tool. [1, 2, 3]

How Language Becomes "Thing-Like"
  • Naming Abstractions: Words like "justice," "time," or "mind" start as helpful labels for invisible concepts. Over time, people speak of them as if they have physical weight, size, or an independent location. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
  • The Map and the Territory: We confuse the words we use (the map) with the actual truth of what is happening (the territory). A label begins to feel more real than the messy, changing life it describes. [1, 2, 3, 4]
  • Grammatical Agency: Saying phrases like "the market wants" or "the law demands" gives living power to mere mental categories. [1, 2]
Why It Matters
  • Loss of Flexibility: When we reify language, human rules and social habits feel like unchangeable laws of nature. We forget we can change them because we made them up. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
  • Misguided Logic: It leads to logical mistakes, such as searching for where an abstract noun "lives" or expecting an idea to behave like a tangible object.) A Google AI Overview

What are you feeling & thinking after reading this explanation of the reified-reality nature of language? And what it means, in the context of Jesus' "riddle-me-this" experiential teaching of the Lord's prayer? And the possibility that Jesus was a graduate of the ancient mystery schools system of teaching "experiential-knowledge," through riddle-me-this questions that appear to be answers, to the uninitiated?

Does the explanation of what we unwittingly do with language, raise any intuitions about disguised truths within Jesus' parable teachings? Any intuitions about how we simultaneously "describe & disguise" the true nature of reality, with every "reality-labeling" word we think, speak, & write? And possibly an intuition about the unpalatable truth reason for Jesus' unparalleled "philosophy-of-mind" lessons? That I explored in the post: Jesus Unpalatable Truth About Our Human Behavior?

And as I finish this post, continuing this series theme of good news that can be preached to the whole world. About the cryptically wise meaning of the words "and then the end will come?" Through a conscious realization about our personal experience of perceptual confusion? Enabling an increasingly urgent need to balance humanity's biologically receptive & psychologically projective, experience of consciousness. So that the prophecies of the end of our species perceptual-confusion, may come to world-wide fruition.

I can only hope that I've provided some useful food for thought and body-wise contemplation about the historical purpose of the Jesus' story. The possibility of experiencing a second coming of your mind, by learning to embody the simple ruth of Jesus' resurrection philosophy? Please let me know what you feel and think about this blog post, in the historical context of truth, goodness, & beauty.

Best wishes,

David Bates
