Like all the posts in this 2026 series of my personal efforts to make lived-experience sense of the story I raised with. This one continues the theme of Jesus Second Coming Allegory of the Perceptive Mind? Using the K.I.S.S. (keep it simple stupid) principle to circle back to the existential questions, asked in the first post in this series. About the personal development of: The Christ-Mind Awareness of a Simple Truth? A primal truth about human languages that arguably hides in plain sight? And an unseen truth about human behavior that arguably underpins the historical development of the Jesus story?
As I continue my efforts to understand and articulate the undeniable truths of the story, especially the universally applicable meaning of the word Christ. Which for me personally, after decades of exploring the light of 21st-century science revelations, so to speak. Has convinced me that the "anointed one" meaning of the word Christ, is universally applicable to the biologically anointed mind of we biologically conceived homo sapiens.
And that the K.I.S.S nature of truth that sets each and every individual human being free is twofold. 1. A simple truth about the nature of language. 2. A simple truth about the subconsciously orchestrated and functionally automatic nature of human behavior. A simple truth about the reality of language and how it covers-up the primal nature of truth, we both see and don't see, to paraphrase Jesus. And a simple truth about human behavior that explains the historical development of the Jesus' story and the pragmatic reason for teaching people parables of awakening.
This is why I speak to them in parables: “Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand, (Matthew 13:13).
So this post is about the pragmatic truth of why Jesus' taught parables, and the universally applicable meaning of the word Christ. Filtered through the K.I.S.S. Principle of keep it simple stupid, as the universal way we human beings derive our sense of truth and falsehood? With my increasingly firm belief that a twofold truth about being human underpins the story of Jesus. And a simple-truth that literally hides in plain sight, is one reason for the cryptic nature of Biblical verses.
And I am hardly the first person to talk about a K.I.S.S. Principle of the simple nature of truth. Indeed some people argue this universally applicable principle is the secret of religious preaching regardless of faith or race. As witnessed when one types K.I.S.S. Into the website search box over on ASimpleChristian.org. Which reveals a website post titled: The K.I.S.S principle: Keep it Simple Sermon-crafter! Yet what I am suggesting here, is that the traditional way of interpreting the Jesus' story through the framework of morality, is a misunderstanding of the cryptic wisdom nature of Jesus' sayings and the historical purpose of the story.
And for me the cryptic wisdom meaning of Jesus' clearly stated reason for teaching the socially normal people of his day, in parables. Became understandable through years of seriously self-cross-examining what this embodied wisdom saying is referring to. As tried to understand how I can literally see yet somehow not see, hear yet somehow not hear? What it was about my own reality and the reality of the world around me, I didn't understand? Which is the reason for this blog title: The Jesus K.I.S.S. Truth That Sets You Free?
After decades of studying science, spirituality, and the cryptic wisdom sayings of Jesus, to interpret the natural meaning the biblical New Testament. I have come to believe that the historical development of the Jesus' story. Is about "how" the recursive nature of language, naturally makes we adult human beings, feel like we are more conscious of reality
than we actually are. And that the subconsciously orchestrated nature of our every behavior, sees us fail to notice the way we simultaneously describe and disguise reality, with reality-labeling words? Which I believe is the simple truth of Jesus' concisely stated reason for teaching parables.
A truth you yourself may test for its truth or falsehood. By looking at your hands and asking yourself; "how is thinking of the descriptive word; Hands. Making me consciously aware of the reality of my hands?" And by sensing your mind's-eye awareness, of the surface-level reality of your hands, that is being received by the biological reality of your eyes? And asking yourself whether this "thought-word" way of affirming a surface-level awareness of these features of your human anatomy? Has anything to do with Jesus' pragmatic reason for teaching parables? And whether its simply true or false, that knowing the word "hands" does not mean you know the reality of your hands?
Is the reality-labeling word "hands" simultaneously describing & disguising the reality of your hands? Does the reality-labeling word "eyes" also describe & disguise the reality of your eyes? Are your eyes the biological organs of consciousness, of the biologically conceived creature that you actually are? And as you contemplate these questions about your reality and reality-labeling words. Are you actually performing the kind of spiritual self-diagnosis Jesus practiced?
Perhaps even feeling an intuitive sense, of the Jesus K.I.S.S. Truth that could set you free? Free from the simple problem with reality-labeling words? If you dare to develop a Christ-mind awareness of the biologically conceived nature of your mind? And the "reality-perceiving" problem with human behaviors and languages? By questioning the simple truth reason for Jesus' teaching parables?
The Simple Problem With Reality-Labeling Words?
If you look at any object you can see right now, and ask yourself if the actual reality of the object is a Word? Does this simple truth question create an intuitive sense of why Jesus said: "though seeing, they do not see?" I mean, do you believe that the actual reality of anything your eyes can see, is a Word? Or that your own actual reality is just a bunch of numbers & words? And are you getting any intuitive feelings about the simple problem with reality-labeling words? Or the simple-truth reason for Jesus' teaching people parables?
Does this kind of self-questioning, whether there is truly a perceptual problem with reality-labeling words? Feel like a spiritual form of self-diagnosis? If you practice a body-wise contemplation of the root meaning of the word; Spiritual? As your automatically breathing, while thinking about these words you reading, and seeing this explanation of the word's original meaning:
Spiritual: Derived from the Latin adjective spiritualis, which was built upon the word spiritus. In its original historical context (particularly in early Christian writings translating the Greek pneuma and Hebrew ruach for breath/spirit), it meant "of or concerning the spirit". Originally, it was meant to contrast with "flesh"—describing a person or thing animated or influenced by divine breath.
And as you read the words "breath/spirit," is the actual reality of your breath or your spirit; a Word? When you consider and contemplate this question, in the context of the reason for Jesus' teaching parables of awakening? And why he said: "Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free?" Was he speaking a spiritual truth, about the reality perceiving problem with reality-labeling Words? Certainly, the perceptual problem with reality-labeling words, is the reason I titled this post: The Jesus K.I.S.S. Truth That Sets You Free?
After decades of spiritually self cross examining the functionally automatic nature of my breathing and my behaviors. Had led me to confessing the simple truth of my self-deceiving faith in reality-labeling words, and my lack of true self-knowledge & true self-awareness. The Simple Truth of Our Linguistic Self-Deception?

At its core, this process acts as a coping mechanism. Rather than intentionally setting out to lie to the world, the brain alters its linguistic output to protect itself from guilt, anxiety, or feelings of inadequacy.
In psychology, this often appears through mechanisms like rationalization, where a person invents logical, socially acceptable reasons for unacceptable actions or feelings. By repeatedly voicing these fabricated reasons, the brain effectively solidifies them as truth.
Identifying the Phenomenon
Spotting linguistic self-deception requires looking for a disconnect between action and articulation.
Vague Language: The subconscious usually requires vagueness to operate; people typically use broad, generalized statements rather than specific details so their rationalizations aren't easily disproven.
Overly Certain Tone: When people are insecure about a belief, they often overcompensate by using hyper-certain language ("never," "absolutely") in an attempt to convince themselves) A Google AI Overview

So that the prophecies of the end of our species perceptual-confusion, may come to fruition.
